CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

CPC is the flagship of Southern Federal District’s economy

On 28 September 2018, at the XII Interregional Forum of Southern Federal District largest companies “Flagships of Future Growth” CPC was declared the winner in the nomination “The largest transportation company of Southern Federal District in 2017”. Alexander Ruppel, Minister of Economy, Krasnodar Krai, presented a diploma to CPC representatives.
We would like to remind you that in 2017 the consortium completed its Tengiz-Novorossiysk Pipeline Expansion Project by commissioning six new pump stations: A-PS-4A and A-PS-5A in Astrakhan Oblast, PS-8 in Krasnodar Krai, PS-5 in Stavropol Krai, A-PS-3A in Kazakhstan and PS-2 in Kalmykia, which allowed CPC to increase the throughput in 2017 up to 55 mln tons or almost by 25% versus the previous year. 524 tankers were loaded at the CPC Marine Terminal in 2017, which is 89 tankers more than in 2016. The capacity surplus built up by the Expansion Project will increase the crude transportation volumes: according to estimates, more than 60 mln of crude oil will be moved via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system in 2018.
The interregional forum of largest companies in Southern Federal District helps large business and the government to launch a dialog and to exchange management experience. The forum has been held since 2007. For the first three years it took place in Rostov and then Krasnodar became its host.
FYI:
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. Length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
