“CPC to Talented Children” summarized the results of the second round in Novorossiysk

On October 15, 2018, Novorossiysk hosted the second round of “CPC to Talented Children”, the children and youth creativity competition. The final gala concert held in the Novorossiysk Drama Theater named after V. Amerbekyan was attended by Dmitry Gerasimuk, Manager, CPC Governmental Authority Relations, Novorossiysk vice-Mayor Natalya Mayorova, and other officials.
– For many years CPC has been making an immense contribution to the city’s social, technical and material infrastructure, providing support to the community’s education, healthcare, physical culture and sports. It is by now a good tradition for the Consortium to fund cultural projects, provide individual support to talented children and the youth, Novorossiysk Mayor Igor Dyachenko stated in his speech.
For several days the winners of the regional round attended the workshops led by famous art community members, Honored Artists of Russia and laureates of various international competitions. Special workshops were organized for Novorossiysk performance team managers and teachers where professionals shared their ideas as to how the promotion of the younger generation’s appreciation for rich local traditions can be improved.
Dagmara Kalashkova, Chair of Bowed String Instruments, Moscow State Institute of Music named after A. Shnitke, Aleksandr Korguinov, Mirazh Ballet Art Director, Tatyana Tarasova, Senior Professor of Acting of the Gerasimov Russian State Cinema Institute, Svetlana Koroteeva, Culture and Arts Professor, Moscow University for the Humanities, shared their know-how with young talents.
In the course of the ceremony, commemorative diplomas and awards were granted to the distinguished participants and laureates of the competition. The winners in their nominations, participants of the first and second rounds of CPC to Talented Children competition received Certificates for a trip to Moscow, where master classes for the laureates and the gala concert will take place on October 26–30, 2018. About fifteen hundred talented children from Novorossiysk participated in the competition this year.
The festival “CPC to Talented Children”, which was launched almost two decades ago, is intended to promote and maintain folk traditions and culture, it gives the chance to young talents to reveal themselves and to acquire new skills during master classes with well-known teachers. Each year the festival discovers bright new “stars”, who then represent appropriately their region at All-Russia's and international creativity competitions.
