CPC Safety Day in Krasnodar

Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s Safety Day was held in Krasnodar on October 24, 2018. The traditional event - the seventh this year - was attended by CPC Shareholders, Russian and international companies of the energy industry. CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban abd Anatoly Voronovsky, Deputy Head of Krasnodar Krai Administration, opened it. Over 300 persons representing all Operations teams of the Consortium and CPC contractors and partners - Chernomortransneft, Transneft-Privolga, Velesstroy, Starstroi - participated in the event.
Participants of eight teams demonstrated their knowledge, skills and qualifications in occupational safety in a competition.  The contests were arranged in the following disciplines: first aid in injuries, road traffic safety, fire safety, electrical safety, work at height, near-miss risk analysis, skills of proper response to emergencies at a facility, use of individual and collective protection equipment.
The participants demonstrated their theoretical knowledge, wound up their brains and showed their creativity in the intellectual contest “Mind Games”. The contest questions were related to the labor protection basics, rules and principles daily used by the employees. As a reminder: the objective of the Safety Day is to enhance the incentive of CPC’s, its partners’ and contractors’ personnel in complying with labor, industrial and environmental safety. The interaction between the Management Team and employees during those activities concurrently with test of knowledge of current regulatory documents help to raise responsibility and incentive of employees, improve one’s knowledge and skills, give an opportunity of demonstrating one’s commitment to safe work through personal example both during the Safety Day and directly at CPC Facilities.
The best participants received valuable gifts and prizes at the Safety Day closing ceremony. Awarding the winners, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban pointed out that there were no losers at that type of competition as all event participants gained from safety knowledge and skills, and, consequently, the total safety level at the operation facilities of the crude transportation system was improving.
