2018 CPC Charity Activity Results Summed up in Novorossiysk

20181203-2-1.jpgThe CPC-R Management, senior officials of the Novorossiysk City Administration and deputies of the city municipal entity summed up the results of joint work on implementation of the Consortium-funded charity projects and programs in 2018.

The event held in the Kuban Cultural Center, whose refurbishment was completed by the Consortium in 2018, was attended by CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and mayor of the hero city Igor Dyachenko.

In his presentation Nikolay Gorban noted, in particular, that various CPC social programs had been implemented in the city of Novorossiysk since 1998. All in all in 1998-2017, CPC invested more than RUR 700 million in the charity programs.

In 2017 total funding of the social programs amounted to RUR 113 million, in 2018 CPC allocated RUR 223 million for the projects in culture, public health, sports and development of transport infrastructure.

Upon the results of the event, Head of Novorossiysk Igor Dyachenko expressed gratitude to the CPC staff for caring attitude towards the city social needs and noted targeted orientation of the projects and responsible approach of the Consortium Management to quality of their implementation.

In his turn, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban stressed that CPC and city administration had had many years of fruitful cooperation in implementation of social projects funded annually by CPC. He also assured that CPC would continue striving for facilitating the development of the social infrastructure for the benefit of the Novorossiysk residents and there were already certain plans for 2019.

This year, the following charity projects were completed in Novorossiysk:


    MEDICINE:

  1. Delivery of ultrasound scanners for 13 municipal city health institutions.
  2. Purchase of laser lithotripter for City Hospital No. 1.
  3. Purchase of 2 X-ray units for City Hospital No. 1 and City Polyclinic No. 2.
  4. Procurement of mammography unit for City Polyclinic No. 2.

  5. CULTURE:

  6. Refurbishment of MBU “Kuban Cultural Center” in Tsemdolina village.

  7. SPORTS:

  8. Construction of Children’s Tennis Center.
  9. Construction of Kuban Archery Center.
  10. Procurement of sports equipment and gear for Nadezhda Children’s Recreational/Educational Sports Center.

  11. TRANSPORT:

  12. Procurement of 5 school buses for secondary general schools of the city.
  13. Procurement of a motor grader for the Glebovsky Rural District.
  14. Procurement of an excavator for the Glebovsky Rural District.
  15. Procurement of special motor vehicles for the Glebovsky Rural District (dump truck, sweep truck, rubbish truck).

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
