CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

New kindergarten built using CPC charity funds was opened in Atyrau (Kazakhstan)

20181213-2-1.jpg20181213-2-2.jpg20181213-2-3.jpgA new kindergarten for 290 kids built using the CPC charity funds was opened in Atyrau. The opening ceremony held on 13 December 2018 was attended by Nikolay Gorban, General Director of CPC, and Nurlan Taubaev, Deputy Akim of Atyrau Region.

Construction of a two-storey kindergarten in Atyrau started in October 2017. The building’s total floorspace is over 2,100 m2. The kindergarten received up-to-date equipment and furniture. Future pupils will have a gym and an event hall. There will be also spacious premises for catering and laundry facilities.

The value of charity project totaled KZT 616,560,000. It is worth noting that this kindergarten has become the first childcare institution of such type in the new fast growing Samal microdistrict, an important contribution of CPC to the development of the regional center’s infrastructure.

This kindergarten was built under the Agreement of Cooperation between the Atyrau Region and CPC-K signed in December 2016. Under the same agreement it is planned to put into operation another kindergarten in Akkistau village, Isatay district by the New Year. CPC allocated KZT 679,150,360 for the construction of the above childcare institution.

At present construction of the Valikhanov Secondary School for 80 schoolchildren is underway in Zhastalap village, Kurmangazy District. Value of this facility’s construction is KZT 406,720,000.

In total over the period of its operation in the Atyrau Region starting from 2000 CPC-K has invested approximately KZT 9 bln in various large-scale charity projects and programs.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
