CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

CPC-K and the Atyrau Oblast Administration signed an Amendment to the Cooperation Agreement

Nikolay Gorban, General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium, and Nurlan Nogayev, Akim of Atyrau Oblast, signed an Amendment to the Cooperation Agreement between the Atyrau Oblast Administration and CPC-K.
The document supplements the Agreement signed in 2016 and defines specific social projects to be implemented in Atyrau Oblast in 2019-2020 as part of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium Charity Program. In particular, CPC affirmed its intention to build in Atyrau a Children’s Village and a Youth House within two years.
The document states that the social program will  be implemented in the region in compliance with the key principles, provisions and requirements of the CPC Charity Policy.
The Agreement enables successful development of cooperation between the parties, strengthening of financial and economic potential and investment attractiveness of Atyrau Oblast, contributes to preservation of social stability and improvement of the population welfare in the Region. The document envisages implementation in Atyrau Oblast of the projects in support of education, health care, popular sports, culture and provision of targeted aid to the disadvantaged social groups.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
