Meeting between CPC Management and Astrakhan Region Administration

A working meeting between Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, and Sergey Morozov, Interim Acting Governor of Astrakhan Region took place on March 28, 2019. The parties discussed progress under the Cooperation Agreement between the Consortium and the region signed in 2017.
Interaction between the international Consortium and Astrakhan Region has exceeded 20 years, during which CPC, in addition to ensuring efficient operation of its facilities, has been providing active support to social projects in such priority areas as education, health care,  culture, public transport, sports and also implementing programs to aid the most vulnerable population.
In the course of the meeting, Nikolay Gorban pointed out that the basis of all CPC’s social projects is a Shareholder-approved CPC Charity Policy that clearly defines program requirements, priority areas, selection and implementation procedures. While implementing its charity programs, the Consortium aims to invest funds as effectively as possible into specific projects that are most needed in the region, with high quality and maximum benefit for local residents.
In total, over the period from 1998 till 2018, the Consortium invested over 1 billion roubles in charity projects on the territory of the Astrakhan Region In particular, just in 2018 alone, the company allocated about 80 million roubles to the region. CPC purchased 10 Mercedes Benz Sprinter school buses for a total cost of over 12 million roubles, 10 ambulances based on UAZ-39623 all-terrain vehicle for district hospitals, a mobile fluorographic facility based on Kamaz-truck chassie, and two artificial ventilation units for regional medical facilities.  Over 15 million roubles has been spent on CPC’s traditional charity programs: CPC to first-year students, New Year and Christmas holidays together with CPC, and also an environmental awareness program to protect sturgeon fish. In addition, Astrakhan Region representatives took an active part in the CPC to Talented children creative competition.
In 2017, as part of the CPC Expansion Project, were put into operation two new oil pump stations - APS-4a and APS-5A - which, alongside the Astrakhan Pump Station, support uninterrupted oil transportation across the region.
