CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

Meeting between CPC Management and Astrakhan Oblast Administration

July 8, 2019 was the date of a working meeting between Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director and Igor Babushkin, Acting Astrakhan Region Governor.
The discussion focused on the implementation of Cooperation agreement between the Consortium and the region signed in 2017 and  CPC operational prospects.
The history of CPC cooperation with Astrakhan Oblast began in 1998. Over 20 years of cooperation with regional administration, the Consortium has invested circa 1 billion rubles in charity projects and programs in such priority areas as education, health care, culture and sports.
In 2014 -2018 the Consortium allocated nearly RUR 160 mln to support regional health services alone. Most significant projects in this area are the purchase of CT unit for N. Silischeva Regional children’s clinical hospital, angiographic unit for Alexander and Maria regional clinical hospital and ambulance cars.
On top of that, in 2017-2018, the Consortium has built three kindergartens and furnished them with all necessary equipment in the region settlements of Baibek, Starokucherganovka and Kharabali.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
