CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

20190807-1.jpg20190807-2.jpgA ceremony to hand over 11 PAZ buses for transportation services to the community was held in Elista on August 07, 2019. Nikolai Gorban, CPC General Director, and Batu Khasikov, Alternate Head of the Republic Kalmykia, participated in the ceremony. Mikhail Grishankov, CPC Deputy General Director, RF Government Relations, Yuri Zaitsev, Prime Minister of the Republic Kalmykia and other dignitaries also attended the ceremony.

The international Consortium allocated over 34 M Rubles to purchase of nine PAZ-320402-05 and two Vector Next PAZ-320435-04 buses.

- This project is the largest of CPC charity programs in the Republic of Kalmykia in 2019, - emphasized Nikolai Gorban, CPC General Director, at the bus-handing ceremony. - New buses will help to improve the population services quality and create an accessible city environment for the citizens of Kalmykia’s capital.

Batu Khasikov pointed out to the great social significance of the gift to the municipal transportation infrastructure: increase of the number of buses will help to improve intercity transport connection between the outlining areas and Elista center, reduce the time interval between trips and create more comfortable conditions for the passengers.

The buses equipped with a ramp for wheelchairs users and wheelchairs fastening accessories purchased and paid for from CPC charity funds are designed to transport also people with reduced mobility.

The Consortium allocated more than RUR 800 million for social needs of the Region over the course of its cooperation with the Republic of Kalmykia in 1998-2018. In 2018 alone, CPC invested RUR 256.6 million in social programs in the Region, including the construction of a supplementary education center for children in the settlement of Iki-Burul and a primary school building in the settlement of Artesian.

In 2019, CPC is planning to allocate RUR 87 million to social projects as part of the CPC charity program. Earlier this year, CPC has already transferred to Elista city clinic the state-of-the-art CT scanner and mobile mammography room.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
