The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

New issue of CPC Panorama issued

cpc_2021_01_en.jpgThe February issue of the CPC Panorama corporate magazine, the first one this years, has come out of print

In its address to the readers, N.N. Gorban, the general director of Caspian pipeline consortium calls 2021 “a year of anniversaries and new achievements”. In 2021, the Consortium is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Shareholder Agreement which created JSC “CPC-R” and JSC “CPC-K”. This date de facto signified the creation of the company in its present form.

Also, this year it will be 20 years since the oil pipeline started to be filled with crude oil from the Tengiz oil field (this event is covered by the historical feature article “The First Project of the 21st Century”, as well as the first tanker loading date at the Marine Terminal in Novorrosiysk.

CPC’s operational performance is supported by advanced digital technologies. An article written by the applications development and applied software team tells the story of the evolution of the SCADA process monitoring system and a new generation of a web monitoring system, SCADA Review.

A significant quantity of the issue’s material is dedicated to safety and security in all meanings of the terms: industrial safety, information safety, road safety, etc.

In his interview, Ilya Borisenko, the head of the corporate security division, focuses the readers’ attention on new features of the recently restructured organization and on how new and existing tasks are addressed.

The feature article “Hello, we are looking for talents!” is dedicated to the start of a new corporate program called “Safety Culture Development Leaders” and how it is incorporated into the work of both CPC personnel and its contractors.

Two items in the Ecology section cover the operation of the CPC Marine Terminal in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka differently: as an object which is subject to environmental monitoring by scientists and local residents and also a kind of nature preserve where, thanks to a guarded area and favorable climate conditions, one can see a great many wild animals, birds and sea creatures.

By tradition, the new issue of the CPC Panorama tells the readers about tourist routes in the company’s host regions, historical events in the oil & gas industry, and unveils their colleagues’ talents (this time on stage and in cookery).

For reference:

CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
