The main program is divided into 4 sections: "Joining Efforts for Development," "National Development Goals: From Tasks to Results," "Man in New Reality. Responding to Global Challenges" and "Technologies Expanding Horizons”. The Forum will also host discussions with representatives of business communities from Africa, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Latin America, North America, Finland, France, Sweden, and Japan, as well as the dialog between the Eurasian Economic Union and ASEAN.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a unique event in the world of economics and business. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event.

Over the last years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.
