20210604-2.jpgOn June 4, 2021, Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, met with Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The parties discussed the CPC activities in Kalmykia in the context of the cooperation agreement signed by CPC and the Kalmykia government.

Three large CPC facilities, i.e. Komsomolskaya PS, PS-2 and APS-5A, operate in the Republic of Kalmykia, which is crossed by the Tengiz-Novorossiysk trunk oil pipeline. For many years, the consortium has been one of the largest taxpayers in the Republic.

Moreover, CPC provides charitable aid to the steppe region on a regular basis: since 1998, the company has invested about 1 billion rubles in various social and environmental awareness projects. The skate park opened in the center of Elista late last year, the supply of lung ventilators and CT scanners and ambulances to district hospitals during the most acute period of the Covid-19 epidemic are the most recent examples of successful cooperation. CPC continues its projects supporting education and children's sports.

Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, emphasized the importance of this meeting as part of the international economic forum enabling to exchange views on various aspects of the region's interaction with the Consortium in a comprehensive and absorbed manner.
