КТО.jpgCPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and KazTransOil General Director Talgat Kurmanbayev conducted a business meeting on 13 January 2023 in Astana.

As a reminder: In 2018, KazTransOil signed a contract with CPC-K for services on maintenance, repair and emergency response at the facilities of the crude pipeline of Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K within the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2023.

It was noted at the meeting, that KazTransOil’s team engaged in the maintenance of CPC Eastern Region facilities and line section demonstrated a consistently high level of compliance with occupational health and safety requirements. There were no lost-time incidents and recordable MVAs in 2022.

All Contractor’s subdivisions demonstrated high degree of readiness to emergency response, confirmed by drills and practical exercises.

KazTransOil’s specialists successfully mastered new types of work, specifically, in average repair of booster pumps.

As part of maintenance of CP equipment, KazTransOil’s specialists achieved a more accurate definition of protective polarization potential of the crude pipeline and reduced the maintenance time. They performed promptly and at a high professional level the operations planned for the time of crude pipeline schedule shutdowns.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
