CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

On Business Meeting in KazMunayGas Office

On 16 February 2023, a business meeting was held between Daniyar Berlibayev, Director of Oil Transportation Department, Head of Oil Transportation Division, KazMunayGas, and CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban in Astana.

The parties discussed intermediate results of the Debottlenecking Program (DBNP) implementation and the volumes of hydrocarbons, which the Consortium was capable of transporting from KazMunayGas’s resources in 2023. 

Completion of programs of equipment major overhaul and maintenance at the Consortium’s facilities on schedule and current safety indicators became other topics of the conversation. It was noted that the parties were actively engaged in experience sharing in this sphere.

The meeting participants also discussed the supply of foreign-made spares and equipment for CPC needs while supporting safe and continuous operation of Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline.

As an addition: National Company KazMunayGas is one of CPC major Shareholders with 19% of shares of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
