SPIEF-2023: CPC and Astrakhan Oblast Heads Had a Business Meeting

20230515-3.jpgOn 15 June 2023, at the XXVI St.-Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2023), a meeting was held between CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Astrakhan Oblast Governor Igor Babushkin.

The participants discussed various matters of interaction between the international company and the region under the existing Agreement on social and economic cooperation signed in 2019. The document covers all socially significant spheres of the Oblast life - health care, education, culture, children’s sports, and targeted aid to the most vulnerable population.

In early 2023, CPC supplied the latest CT scanner worth almost 60 million rubles to Alexandro-Mariinsky Oblast clinical hospital. The material base of the Astrakhan Regional Social Rehabilitation Center "Rus" was strengthened with modern equipment to the amount of about 20 million rubles.

In 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 CPC transferred approximately 12.2 billion rubles in taxes to the budget of Astrakhan Oblast. The Consortium allocated almost 100 million rubles to charity in the Region in 2022.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
