CPC Multiyear Project “Protect Nature Of Our Native Land ” Is In Progress in Kalmykia

20230719.jpgOn 19 July 2023, Caspian Pipeline Consortium handed motor vehicles and potable water treatment systems to budgetary enterprises in Elista, capital of the Republic of Kalmykia. The event attended by Mikhail Grishankov, CPC Deputy General Director, RF Government Relations, and Gilyana Boskhomdzhieva, Chairperson of the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia, was held as part of the Company’s Environmental Awareness Project “Protect Nature Of Our Native Land”.

UAZ off-road vehicles were purchased for the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Territories of the Republic of Kalmykia and the State Natural Biosphere Reserve "Blackland".  Fifteen educational institutions of Iki-Burulsky, Chernozemelsky Districts and Elista received water filters.

As a reminder: in 2022, as part of the Project, CPC funds were used to purchase specialized equipment for the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Territories of the Republic of Kalmykia  State Natural Biosphere Reserve "Blackland” and potable water treatment systems for ten educational institutions of Iki-Burulsky and Chernozemelsky Districts.

This year, the Environmental Awareness Project “Protect Nature Of Our Native Land” of Caspian Pipeline Consortium in Kalmykia celebrates its tenth birthday. Thanks to the cooperation between CPC and the Blackland Reserve, the saiga population has multiplied. Open lessons, creative contests, and other events are held annually and are aimed, primarily, at the younger generation in order to raise environmental awareness and develop responsibility for the preserving nature of native territories. In 2014-2023 CPC allocated almost 35 million rubles towards implementation of the Environmental Awareness Project “Protect Nature Of Our Native Land”​.202307192.jpg

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
