Construction of a New School Funded by CPC is Actively Underway in Atyrau

20230927.jpgOn 27 September 2023, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Atyrau Akim Shakir Keikin visited the construction site of a school in Talgairan micro-district. This social facility is being implemented as part of charity activity of Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

The three-story school is designed for 900 pupils and is being built using the latest technology, in accordance with modern requirements. It is planned to be commissioned in spring of 2025. In the course of the visit, the parties discussed the possibility of having the project completed ahead of schedule.


20230927-1.jpgThe construction contractor has currently completed the earthwork, laid the foundation, assembled monolithic walls, and installed a transformer substation.

The total area of the building exceeds 12,000 sq.m. The school will have 36 classrooms for 25 persons each. The efficiency of the pedagogical process will be promoted by zoning the space into three blocks: for junior, middle and senior schoolchildren.

A stadium with a soccer field, a running track, an area of outdoor fitness equipment, a tennis court and a volleyball court is planned for the school grounds. There will also be a space for primary military training, a parking lot for school buses and personal vehicles, including those designed for persons with disabilities.

It should be added that in 2001-2022, the Consortium invested approximately 12 billion tenge in the charity in Atyrau Oblast. Among the 12 built social institutions, there are kindergartens in Samal microdistrict and Birlik settlement in Atyrau, in Kulsary city, in Ganyushkino village and Akkol settlement of Kurmangazy district, two kindergartens in Akkistau settlement of Isatai district. Schools were also constructed in Zhastalan settlement on Kurmangazy district, Kurylys settlement of Indersky district, Aktogay settlement of Makhambetovsky district, a Youth House and a family type children village in Atyrau.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region.
