CPC Successfully Passed External HSE Management System Compliance Audit

3.jpgIn October 2023, Caspian Pipeline Consortium successfully passed the external HSE Management System audit for compliance with the international standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

The audit was conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification Rus - certification agency. During October 10-19,  2023, the experts from Bureau Veritas Certification Rus inspected CPC-R and CPC-K facilities in Russia and Kazakhstan, examined documented information and interviewed managers and specialists of the Marine Terminal, Eastern Region and Moscow Office.

Following the audit, the experts of Bureau Veritas Certification Rus noted that the Consortium had demonstrated the effectiveness of the HSE System in place and commitment to its continuous improvement.


4.jpgCPC Environmental Management System (EMS) was first certified according to the international standard ISО 14001:2004 in 2009, OHS Management System was certified in accordance with the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007 in 2010. They were integrated into the unified CPC HSE Management System in 2015, and in 2019, the transition to the new versions of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 was accomplished.

According to the 2023 compliance audit findings, the Consortium once again confirmed its compliance with the international certifications ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, which are valid until July 2025.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
