Oil shipment in 2023

In 2023, 63,473,894 tons of crude oil were loaded from the Marine Terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which is 4,762,749 tons of oil more than the 2022 figure and is the highest in the history of CPC operations.
Despite the adverse weather conditions in November-December 2023, which caused the Consortium to suspend oil loading into tankers many times, 578 tankers were loaded in 2023.
In total in 2023, 56,051,967 tons of crude oil were lifted from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 7,421,927 tons from the territory of the Russian Federation - the CPC Blend crude.
The largest volumes of oil in 2023 were injected in CPC pipeline system from Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan fields - 27,463,081 tons, 9,619,452 tons and 17,897,972 tons, respectively.
From 2001 through to 31 December 2023, 888,076,899 tons of crude oil were delivered to the world markets via Tengiz - Novorossiysk Crude Pipeline System.
For information:
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
