Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Board Chairman, National Company KazMunayGas, and CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban had a business meeting in Astana on 16 January 2024.
The parties discussed various aspects of cooperation within CPC international project, interaction in sharing best industry practices on safety, environmental protection and occupational health and the Consortium’s operation performance in 2023 and plans for the current year.
KazMunayGas is one of the largest CPC Shareholders - the National Company represents a 19% share of the Republic of Kazakhstan in CPC Project.
Since 2018, the Company’s subsidiary - KazTransOil - has been acting as a contractor for maintenance, repair and emergency response at CPC crude pipeline system facilities within the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In December 2023, Caspian Pipeline Consortium and KazTransOil executed a contract for maintenance services for Tengiz - Novorossiysk Crude Pipeline System within the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024-2028.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
