From 11 March 2024, applications are now open for the International Contest of Children’s and Youth’s art - CPC to Talented Children. Solo performers and creative teams from Stavropol Krai, Krasnodar Krai, Republic of Kalmykia and Astrakhan Oblast are invited to participate. The age of the participants is from 7 to 17. An application can be filed at the site www.ktk-talant.ru from 11 March until 5 April 2024.
CPC to Talented Children Contest is conducted annually at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s (CPC) initiative and financed by its charity funds. The Independent Non-Profit Organization called Academy of Cultural and Educational Innovations has been the contest Administrator since 2022. This year, the International Contest of Children’s and Youth’s art - CPC to Talented Children is held for the 26th time.
“Our contest is not just a competition. It is a path to self-expression and self-actualization for every young talent, - says CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban. - In its social and charity activities in the host regions, the Consortium pays special attention to the younger generation - its education and creative development. Our contest supports and develops folk traditions, gives children and young people the opportunity to start their journey in the arts”.
This year the contest will be held in seven categories: Choreography, Instrumental Performance, Vocal, Chorus, Theater, Social Video, and Pedagogical Workshop.
The works of the participants will be evaluated by an expert jury consisting of highly qualified and experienced specialists of Russia, teachers of creative teams, directors, outstanding figures of culture and arts, Honored Artists of the Russian Federation, Honorary Artists. In addition to creative performances, the contest includes a large-scale educational program - round tables with experts, creative meetings and master classes from leading artists are waiting for the participants.
The contest is traditionally held in four stages. The first stage is an absentee contest-examination, where participants remotely send their works to be evaluated by an independent professional jury.
After the results are summarized, the artists with the best works move on to the second round. The second stage is also conducted remotely. The contestants are to submit a new work in the same category and genre as the first round.
The third stage is an in-person regional one. From September to October, participants who have successfully overcome two rounds of the contest will be able to demonstrate their skills live by performing at a gala concert. The organizers have prepared an educational program for them, which included master classes, seminars and creative workshops by the Russia’ leading teachers.
The fourth stage is the International Uniting Cultural Forum in Moscow, which will bring together the best contestants. Competitive performances, educational master classes, an official award ceremony with diplomas of various degrees and a final Gala Concert await them.
