CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

Business Meeting of CPC and KMG Heads

On 16 April 2024, a meeting was held in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan) between Nikolay Gorban, Consortium General Director, and Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Board, KazMunayGas.
The parties discussed a wide range of matters related to cooperation within CPC international project, including the progress of implementation of the programs to upgrade and improve reliability of operation facilities of Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline system.
General Director informed the Oil and Gas Company Head of the scope of work on the crude pipeline during the April scheduled 72-hour shutdown. In particular, a new pipeline segment was tied it at KP 266 of the route under the Atyrau-Astrakhan motor road under construction.
The emerging flood situation in the Company’s host regions became an important topic of the conversation. CPC-K and its contractors’ units assist the local administration in localizing the consequences of the rampant natural disaster. The Consortium’s working crew is constantly on the sites determined by Atyrau Oblast Akimat Headquarters.
CPC currently also provides information support to Akimat Headquarters, carrying out additional aerial surveys during air patrols by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Company's line pipe and facilities. The transferred data allow the Headquarters to assess the current situation, forecast development of flood situation and develop a response scenario.
It was communicated earlier, that representatives of CPC international project participated in the repair of a 6-km earthen berm near the Atyrau-Uralsk road and Bugorki dacha settlement, and built 6.5 km of protective structures on the shoreline of the Ural River.
In view of the forecast increase in the water level of the Ural River near the city of Atyrau, CPC-K specialized equipment (reinforced by excavators and dump trucks that arrived on 15 April from Astrakhan Oblast) continues to build flood protection fortifications to protect the facilities of CPC, KazTransOil and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.
CPC Management made a decision to perform flood control work for 250 mln tenge as part of the Company’s charity activity: construction and restoration of dams, repair of the existing earthen berm to protect the shoreline of the Ural River. The Company commenced this work on 4 April in coordination with Akimat Headquarters. The Consortium provided 8,600 sq.m of geotextile and 300,000 bags with sand to construct a dam near Bereke settlement.
CPC is constantly monitoring its operation facilities. They all operated in the standard mode. Additional stocks of potable water, food and fuel have been formed.
The parties also discussed CPC performance results for the first months of 2024 and the short-term plans of the oil transportation company, including dividend payment schedule.
