On 7 May
2024, the jury of CPC to Talented Children - International Contest of the
children and youth creativity - announced the list of 2,873 winners of the
first round. It was held in the distance format and collected 4,582 video
entries from solo performers and creative teams. Krasnodar Krai became the
leader in terms of the number of works sent to the contest: 1,828 applications,
including 756 from Novorossiysk. Young talents from Stavropol Krai filed 1,338
applications. Astrakhan Oblast sent 983 applications, and the Republic of
Kalmykia - 433.
Out of this
number, the jury members - consisting of outstanding teachers, directors,
honored artists of Russia, honorary figures of culture and arts - selected the
best participants who will continue to compete in the second round and present
new creative works. The lists of winners with experts’ comments were published
on the contest’s official site.

The second
stage which will also be held in a distance format awaits the laureates. It
includes educational program - roundtables with participation of the contest’s
experts to be held online on 13-30 May. Then the contestants will need to
present video recordings of their new performances in the same category and
genre as in the first round, demonstrating creativity and progress based on
training.
This is the
26th time that the children's and youth's creativity contest "CPC to
Talented Children" is held. This year it consists of seven categories:
Choreography, Instrumental Performance, Vocal, Chorus, Theater, Social Video
and Pedagogical Workshop. Each category presents a wide range of opportunities
for creative expression. According to the results of the first stage, the
"Instrumental Performance” category gathered the largest number of
participants (38%).

CPC to Talented Children Contest is conducted
annually at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s (CPC) initiative and financed by
its charity funds. The Independent Non-Profit Organization of additional
education called Academy of Cultural and Educational Innovations has been the
contest Administrator since 2021.
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major
investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The
length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1 511 km. This route transports
over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil
fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped
with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a
significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
