
The second stage of the “Jas tolqyn” young talents contest arranged with the support of Caspian Pipeline Consortium was held in Atyrau, Republic of Kazakhstan, on 9 - 13 June 2024.
This year, 1,200 children from Atyrau, Mangustau, Akryuba and Western Kazakhstan Oblasts participated in the contest. The jury selected 350 best performers for the second round, and in June they came to Atyrau for the next stage of the contest in the categories: "instrumental genre", "traditional song art", "vocal", "art word", "choreography". In addition to the contest programs, the young participants could attend master classes by leading art teachers where they received valuable pieces of advice and recommendations on perfecting their creative skills.
Mastery of young performers was evaluated by honored cultural workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national artists, professors and teachers of the Kazakh National University of Arts. The jury members noted the high level of preparation and performance skills. At the press conference on 13 June dedicated to the completion of the second stage of “Jas tolqyn” contest the names of the winners in each category and Grand Prix winners were announced. According to the established tradition, they will take part in the finals of the CPC to Talented Children international contest in Moscow at the end of this year.

We believe that support to gifted children who represent the future of Kazakhstan should be one of the priorities both at the state level and in the business sphere”.

The Presto ensemble of string instruments, pianist Zharkynay Zholdaskali and dombrist Alisher Omirzhan became the Grand Prix winners in the "instrumental genre” category. Fariza Kudaibergen, Aybar Sanbayev and the Telkopyr traditional song ensemble were named the best in the "traditional song art” category.
Akylbek Bisenbayev and Nurly Mustafa became the Grand Prix winners in the "vocal” category. Ұldana Sanakbay was recognized the best in the "artistic word” category. The Zhem Aruy dance ensemble received the Grand Prix in the "choreography" category.
The gala concert on the stage of the Regional Folk Art Center was a bright closing event of the second stage of "Jas tolqyn". All winners in all categories and Gran Prix winners of the 2024 contest participated in the concert.
