On 4 July 2024, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban, Operations Division Head Alexey Dmitryukov and other managers visited the pump stations - PS-4, PS-5, Kropotkin PS, PS-7 and PS-8 as part of their business trip to the Western Region operation facilities. These operation facilities are located in Stavropol Krai and Kuban region.
A surprise check of readiness for emergency situations was carried out, and a briefing was given about a tank fire at Kropotkin PS. In addition, the actions of the facility's security service when an explosive device was detected were checked. Vehicles and equipment of Contractor, Starstroi, OSR equipment, etc., were also inspected.
Based on the 2023 performance results, CPC Western Region’s team was recognized as the best among the Consortium's subdivisions. In determining the winner, the following indicators were taken into account: compliance with safety, fire safety, environmental safety, occupational health, road safety, leadership in Safety Culture Development, etc.
In 2023, CPC Western Region (including contractors) worked almost three million man-hours without incidents and injuries, the motor vehicles ran over ten million km without MVAs. Overall, the totals have crossed the 35 million man-hours and 90 million km mark, respectively, since the start of record-keeping.
The Region’s important tasks in 2024 include: an overhaul of turbine unit with replacement of gas turbines at Kropotkin PS, putting into operation mainline pump variable frequency drives and an additional tank of the surge relief system at PS-4.
The work to install diesel power stations at the block valve stations on the line pipe is also going on smoothly. Nine of those were installed in 2023. This year plans provide for ten.
