On 29 August
2024, a ceremony dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the oil and gas industry
of Kazakhstan was held in Astana in Akorda, the residence of the President of
the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In his
speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, praised
the hard and selfless work of oil workers as a significant contribution to the
development of the industry, emphasizing that the implementation of the CPC
project is a vivid example of successful international cooperation.
The President
of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented state awards to the best employees of
the oil and gas industry. CPC-K employees were among those awarded.
Makhsut
Muratov, Tengiz PS Manager, was awarded the “Yenbek danky” order (“Labor
Glory”). Makhsut has been working in the oil and gas industry for more than 25
years, he has been working in CPC since 2011, having started in the position of
Deputy Manager, Tegiz PS. For high performance in his work, he was appointed
the PS Manager, where under his leadership the uninterrupted efficient
operation and maintenance of the station are carried out.
Alexander
Yeryomin, Lead Engineer, Turbines Operation and Repair, PS Atyrau, was awarded
the “Eren eңbegi ushin” medal (“For Labor Distinction”). Alexander has been
working for more than 36 years in the oil and gas industry, 20 years in
CPC.
Kairgeldy
Kabyldin, Deputy General Director, Republic of Kazakhstan Government Relations,
CPC-K, congratulated the colleagues on high state awards.
- These
awards are a worthy recognition of your merits, diligent work and personal
contribution to the development of the industry, - pointed out Kairgeldy Kabyldin.
- Oil and gas industry is the backbone of Kazakhstan's economy, and the CPC
pipeline is its most important blood vessel and main export route. And this is
primarily thanks to your services. You work at the stations, line pipe, you
ensure continuous and reliable operation of the crude pipeline system. The CPC
Project, created 28 years ago, today has proved to be successful, in demand
and, most importantly, non-alternative. I am proud of your accomplishments and
truly happy for you.
- State award
is not just my merit, but the merit of the entire team, - said Alexander
Yeryomin. - Caspian Pipeline Consortium is a very well-coordinated
organization, where everyone in their place does the necessary work, does it
responsibly and with high quality. The Company is characterized by a high level
of personnel qualification, and this also makes a significant contribution to
the development of the Company and the industry, as a whole.
- To receive
an order from the President’s hands is a cause for pride and a great
responsibility, - emphasized Makhsut Muratov. - Our thanks to CPC Management
for having recognized our work and selected us as candidates for the award. I
am very glad that I am working in CPC. Our Company is stable, reliable and
recognizable. In 2023, CPC transported 64 million tons out of 90 million tons
of Kazakhstani oil - in this way, we contribute to the growth and development
of our country's economy.
On the
occasion of the professional holiday, 30 employees and veterans of CPC Eastern
Region were awarded the jubilee medals of the Ministry of Energy of the
Republic of Kazakhstan dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Kazakhstani oil.
Five persons - Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Anatoly Abakumov, Akmaral Aituarova, Lisa
Igalieva and Almagul Kemalova - were awarded the jubilee medal of the Kazenergy
Association. Eleven employees of CPC-K also received the Management’s Letters
of Commendation, 17 people received Letters of Award and eight employees
received Commemorative gifts.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects
in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline
is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export
oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region.
