Fariza
okulary oblast contest was held on 9 October 2024 in Atyrau Schoolchildren
Center named after Abay. The 8th-11th grade students from rural and district
comprehensive schools of Atyrau Oblast participated in the contest.
The Fariza
okulary contest has been conducted since 2020 on an annual basis. It is
dedicated to the work of Fariza Ongarsynova - poetess, national writer and
public figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan who was born in Atyrau Oblast. The
aim of the contest is to develop creative abilities, foster patriotism and
respect for the cultural traditions of the native land. Over 200 schoolchildren
participated in the Oblast contest over four years.
The contest
organizer is the Talent Identification and Support Center of the Atyrau Oblast
Education Department. CPC-K is providing
support to the function as part of its charity activity aimed at supporting
medicine, culture and education and development of infrastructure in Atyrau
Oblast.
This year,
about 50 schoolchildren - winners of district (city) stages - participated in
the contest. In the second, regional
stage, the contestants competed in three categories - a competition for
expressive reading of Fariza Ongarsynova's poems by heart, a competition for
performers of songs to the words of the famous poetess, and a competition of
drawings based on Fariza Ongarsynova's works.
According to
the results of the oblast contest, the participants were awarded diplomas of I,
II and III degrees in each category, and letters of acknowledgment from the
Talent Identification and Support Center.

preservation and development of cultural heritage, instills spiritual values in
the younger generation, and motivates them to be creative.
Annually, the
Consortium allocates over three million dollars towards charity projects in the
Republic of Kazakhstan. In total, from 2001 to 2023, the Company invested
approximately 14 billion tenge in charity projects in Atyrau Oblast.
Fariza
Ongarsynova (1939 - 2014) made a bright contribution to the development of
Kazakh poetry, literature, to the popularization of literature among young
people. Her poems, essays, stories have gained popularity not only in our
country but also abroad. Many of her works have been translated into foreign
languages. Many of her poems have been set to music and have been on the air
for half a century.
