
In October 2024, Caspian Pipeline Consortium successfully passed the external Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (HSE) Management System audit for compliance with the international standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
The audit was conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification Rus - certification agency. During 1-10 October 2024, the Agency’s experts inspected CPC-R’s facilities in the Russian Federation, examined documented information and interviewed managers and specialists of the Marine Terminal, Central Region and Moscow Office.
Following the audit, the experts of Bureau Veritas Certification Rus noted that the Consortium had demonstrated a mature and efficiently functioning HSE System and commitment to its continuous improvement.
The Environmental Management System (EMS) was first certified in CPC in accordance with the international standard - ISP 14001:2004 in 2009. The OHS Management System was certified in accordance with the international standard - OHSAS 18001:2007 in 2010. They were integrated into the unified CPC HSE Management System in 2015, and in 2019, the transition to the new versions of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 was accomplished.
The lead auditor of Bureau Veritas Certification Rus noted - as the Company’s HSE best practices - the Management’s leadership at the facilities and in the offices, use of e-training of the Company’s and Contractors’ personnel, developed risk management system, full up-to-date authorization documentation, responsible approach to provision of personnel with personal protective equipment, clear and well-coordinated work in procurement, maintenance and repair, high readiness for emergency response, professionalism in road safety, accident investigation, clear and structured documentation, and motivational measures to maintain the staff competencies and development. This shows the maturity of the Consortium in the Safety Culture, demonstrating the dynamics of sustainable development in this direction.
According to the 2024 compliance audit findings, the Consortium once again confirmed its compliance with the international certificates - ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001: 2018.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
