CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

CPC Performance Factors

Following the report of Almasadam Satkaliev, the Minister of Energy, at the  Republic of Kazakhstan Government meeting, number of media and Telegram channels in the Republic of Kazakhstan stated that the decline in oil production in the Republic for 11 months of 2024, among other things, was affected by “CPC shutdowns for planned preventive maintenance”.

We would like to inform that there were no restrictions in CPC operation in 2024, which could contribute to the reduction of the volumes of the transported shippers’ oil, and there were no abnormal shutdowns of transportation.

All crude oil volumes delivered by the shippers to the Tengiz - Novorossiysk System in 2024 were transported to the CPC Marine Terminal and loaded to the tankers in full.

Planned preventive maintenance deadlines are advised by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium to the shippers in RK well in advance and taken into account by the Republic of Kazakhstan Ministry of Energy for preparing the yearly schedule of oil transportation via the Tengiz - Novorossiysk crude oil pipeline. Thus, the planned work of all participants in the process of oil production and transportation through the CPC pipeline is ensured.

In addition, during meetings of the governing bodies, CPC shareholders have repeatedly discussed the issues of shippers' fulfillment of their commitments on oil delivery volumes as a factor affecting CPC financial performance.

We kindly request the media to take into account the above comments in their publications.
