CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

Head of CPC and CEO of KMG Had a Business Meeting

KMG2.jpgA business meeting between Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board, JSC NC KazMunayGas (KMG), and Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, was held in Astana on March 18, 2025.
At the beginning of the meeting, CPC General Director informed CEO of KMG about the progress of recovery works at PS Kropotkinskaya after the station was attacked by several UAVs on February 17, 2025, interfaces with contractors and potential deadlines for the station operation restart, allowing to accept increased crude oil volumes, if any, from shippers into the system.
Then the parties discussed the topical issues of cooperation with the Consortium, including the programs to upgrade and improve reliability of Tengiz - Novorossiysk pipeline system facilities, being implemented by the Company, and interaction on replacement of single point mooring units in 2025-2026.
As a reminder: NC KazMunayGas is one of the major CPC Shareholders - the National Company represents the 19% share of the Republic of Kazakhstan in CPC Project. Since 1 July 2018, the Company’s subsidiary - KazTransOil - has been fulfilling the contract for maintenance, repair and emergency response at CPC crude oil pipeline system facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
