CPC Project “Protect Nature of Our Native Land” Is In Progress in Novorossiysk and the Utrish Natural Reserve

анонс.jpgCreative plein-air painting week arranged as part of the traditional CPC environmental/educational project “Protect Nature of Our Native Land” is nearing its completion in Novorossiysk and the Utrish State Natural Reserve.
About 100 teachers and painters from Novorossiysk Art School, Penza and Krasnodar Art Colleges joined to capture the unique landscapes, flora and fauna of this picturesque area and to share their experience. The event agenda included workshops by famous painters and refresher training for teachers.
The next events of “Protect Nature of Our Native Land” program will involve the schoolchildren and students of Novorossiysk Hero City and Glebovsky Rural District. Creative competitions, intellectual games and contests will take place in the Utrish Natural Reserve in addition to excursions and lectures. The new chapter of environmental and education project will be issuance of “Notes on Local Studies” journal aimed at detailed study of environment, history and culture of Novorossiysk and the Black Sea coast.
It is worth mentioning that CPC has been implementing environmental and education project “Protect Nature of Our Native Land” covering all regions of the Company’s business in Russia and Kazakhstan effective 2014. This project is known, first of all, for restoration and increasing populations of endangered animals, fishes and plants - cranes, saigas, deers, sturgeons, etc. The project is focused on two more areas, mainly in Atyrau Region of Kazakhstan and in Kalmykia. In this areas, where desertification issue is highly critical, CPC regularly completes specialized environmental activities, plants trees and arranges new water supply sources.-5339568428777861565_121.jpg

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPMs) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
