Ecomonitoring Findings: No Excess in Pollutant Values was Identified in the CPC Marine Terminal Area

August 29, 2025, in the course of an emergency response operation at the CPC Marine Terminal and in its wake, monitoring of sea water, air and the shoreline was being delivered on an ongoing basis.
No contamination of the shoreline was identified.  No sorbents were used during the emergency response operation.
Sea water monitoring to determine petroleum products content is delivered two times a day. Services of a third-party certified laboratory are used to that end.  One hundred and fifteen samples were taken within the period in question (sampling points map is attached).30 утро.png

During oil spill response (OSR) operation, sampling in the vicinity of SPM and boom units deployment location was delivered off of a vessel engaged in the oil spill containment and response.
Once oil spill containment and response activities completed, it was resolved to take samples in the following five control points (CP):
- CP1 - to the east of CPC-2 SPM, in the direction of Shirokaya Balka,
- CP2 - at 1,000 m towards the shore from CPC-3 SPM,
- CP3 - across from the Durso village beach,
- CP4 - across from Fregat (Sukhaya Schel),
- CP5 - Maly Utrish area.
CP1 control point was selected in order to confirm that the oil slick had not propagated to the east of CPC-2 SPM.  CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5 control points were selected based on the oil slick trajectory at the time of the spill.
Since late afternoon of August 30, 2025 up to now, sampling is delivered daily in the above control points - in the morning and at night.
According to ecomonitoring findings, no excess values of pollutants in the water or air were registered since completion of the oil spill response operation as of August 30, 2025.30 вечер.png
