
On April 21, 2026, the events of the International Oil and Gas - 2026 Forum started at the Gubkin Oil and Gas University to continue till 24 April. The Forum is attended by the CPC General Director N.N. Gorban, executives and specialists of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
On the first day of the Oil and Gas - 2026, the CPC representatives visited an exhibition of developments by scientists of universities and fuel/energy companies, as well as section meetings of the 80th International Youth Conference. The CPC General Director was a speaker at a strategic panel session “Unified fuel/energy system as a key factor of industry competitiveness and creation of conditions for innovations”.
N.N. Gorban told about the implemented in CPC measures to enhance safety and reduce risks during transportation of energy resources, operation upgrade projects underway. He touched upon the issues of interaction between major companies, state authorities and scientific institutes for the benefit of fuel/energy sector development and in the area of staff training.
The strategic panel session is an important discussion platform generating strategic views on the future of the industry, developing solutions for present-day challenges and laying a foundation for further growth of the oil/gas complex. It is held to discuss strategic development of the oil/gas industry, improve interaction between the state, business and science, advance the workforce and higher education capacity by way of working out joint solutions on the key challenges of the industry.
The goal of the international conference is to analyze the achievements in the oil/gas science and technology, determine the main directions of scientific research aimed at the growth of the oil/gas industry and implementation of the program for development of competitive national technologies and equipment, as well as identification and support of promising youth scientific research.

Annually, the Forum gathers on its platform lead specialists, young scientists and students from more than 280 Russian and foreign higher education institutions, industry organizations and authorities. The event organizers are the Gubkin University and the Oil/Gas Industry Youth Council under the RF Energy Ministry with support from the RF Energy Ministry, RF Ministry of Science and Higher Education, RF Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, CIS Executive Committee and RF Government.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region.
