
On April 23, 2026, within the framework of the International Oil and Gas - 2026 Forum, the Gubkin University hosted the 19th All-Russia Scientific/Technical Conference “Current Problems of Russia Oil/Gas Complex Development”.
The CPC General Director N.N. Gorban was a speaker at the panel session “Designing, construction and operation of hydrocarbon pipeline transport systems and provision of oil/gas products. Current problems of ensuring comprehensive safety for critically important fuel/energy facilities”. He presented the report “Predictive monitoring of technical condition of marine oil terminals”. This work covers set-up and maintenance of a marine terminal safety system based on the “technology-driven security” concept. The report reviews the requirements for technical regulation and their application practice, risk assessment methodology, monitoring and forecasting tools, other issues.
Another CPC report at the session was “Transformation of the system of industrial safety, maintenance and repair of process equipment at hazardous industrial facilities” that was prepared by the Head of the PS, Tank Farm and Shore Facilities Operation Service Dmitry Benderov, the Chief Welder Dmitry Zavalinich and the Head of the Personnel Training and Development Team Alexandra Rabinovich. The research is aimed at a caused by objective processes and economically justified stage-wise transformation of the existing system of industrial safety, maintenance and repair at the CPC hazardous industrial facilities, as a transition to a qualitatively new model of operation asset management on the basis of forming a comprehensive regulation system which takes into account the aspects of maintenance and repair rational planning, as well as optimization of costs, legal issues of interaction with the state executive authorities exercising industrial safety supervision over operation of hazardous industrial facilities.
The Conference “Current Problems of Russia Oil/Gas Complex Development” is held to analyze the achievements in the oil/gas science and technology and to identify the main areas of scientific research for the nearest years and long-term. It is a unique platform for exchange of experience, giving specialists an opportunity to discuss the important problems of the oil/gas industry development in Russia, to analyze the latest achievements in the oil/gas science and to help enterprises to introduce the most efficient scientific developments.
