CPC Successfully Passed the First External HSE Management System Compliance Audit

In May and June 2026, Caspian Pipeline Consortium successfully passed a third-party audit of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System for compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 international standards.
The CPC-R JSC audit was delivered by RT-Techpriemka JSC on behalf of EUROCERT S.A. certification authority with an internationally recognized ESYD accreditation (Greece).  SSU DQS LLC was the auditor of CPC-K JSC on behalf of DQS RUS LLC certification authority with an internationally recognized NABCB accreditation (India). 
Third-party experts selectively inspected CPC-R JSC facilities in the Russian Federation and those of CPC-K JSC in the Republic of Kazakhstan, followed by a review of documented information. They also interviewed managers and specialists. The Eastern Region was audited on May 05 through 08, 2026, the Eastern and Central Regions - from May 19 through 21, 2026, Moscow offices - from June 01 through 02, 2026.  
Based on the audit findings, third-party experts pointed out that the Consortium demonstrated a mature and efficiently functioning Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System along with a commitment to its ongoing improvement. 
CPC Environmental Management System (EMS) was first certified according to ISО 14001:2004 international standard in 2009, the OHS Management System was certified in accordance with OHSAS 18001:2007 international standard in 2010. In 2015, they were integrated into the unified CPC HSE Management System, and in 2019, the transition to the new versions of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards was accomplished. 
The lead auditors noted the following HSE best practices applied by the Company:
- Leadership and commitment of the Company's management and personnel to HSE MS Policy and objectives;
- Involvement of the company and contractor personnel, incorporation of the contractors’ performance indicators into the HSE Management System target indicators;
- Introduction of setting and completion of HSE individual commitments by every employee;
- Availability of individual professional development programs, teamwork, streamlined personnel motivation procedures;
- Arrangement of awareness and organizational events in the field of HSE, including the Clean River Bank campaign dedicated to cleanup of the Ural river coastal area;
- Annual delivery of the Leadership Summit engaging contractors’ general managers, and the Safety Day event involving teams of the CPC and contractor companies structural divisions; 
- Use of visual representation of work safety rules: outdoor and indoor stands, brochures, leaders’ visits, permits to work release, observation cards, videos, game aids;
- Streamlined logistics processes, customized to the transition to electronic trading platforms. 
The findings speak of maturity of the Consortium in terms of Safety Culture, demonstrating the dynamics of sustainable development in this direction.
Findings of the 2026 compliance audit have yet again validated compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 international standards.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region.
