CPC-K Held an Environmental Campaign to Mark the Company’s 30th Anniversary

MAX_00170.jpgAn environmental campaign marking the 30th anniversary of Caspian Pipeline Consortium took place at Atyrau PS on October 10, 2026. CPC employees and their families arranged and completed an initiative featuring planting of 135 seedlings of poplar, birch, maple and elm.
- Taking care of nature is a conscious strategy of CPC rather than an ad-hoc event. As a prior effort, the Eastern Region employees removed garbage from the river’s bank, with 10 tons of waste disposed only in 2020. In recent years, we focused on PS area landscaping, - reported Viktor Miroshnichenko, Chief Engineer, Operations and Maintenance.
The trees planting is highly important for Atyrau Region in Kazakhstan. Arid climate, hot summer, dry winds and dust make the vegetation a critical part of the city’s landscape, forming a more comfortable microclimate. In a view of the local soil specifics, the seedlings require an imported soil, proper fertilizers and care.
- We see the CPC staff taking a responsible approach to both planting trees and their ongoing upkeep. Look how big and robust the young trees planted two or three years ago have become! - noted Anfira Sarsalova, Chief Specialist of Atyrau Region Environmental Department Monitoring Team, who took part in campaign.
Planting trees for CPC staff is yet another means of demonstrating environmentally responsible behavior for young people. No adults’ sayings can substitute the child’s opportunity to plant a tree with parents and feel a sense of responsibility for a living thing. An exhibition of specialized pipeline equipment was additionally set up to make Environmental Day even more thrilling for the youngest participants.
More than 3,500 trees have been planted at the pump station since the start of the greening initiatives.
