CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

CPC continues with the execution of the pump units replacement project

3 МНС.jpgExecution of the program to replace turbine-driven mainline pump units (MPU) with motor-driven MPUs and the program to switch over to external power supply (EPS Program) continues at the Komsomolsk PS site in accordance with the schedule.
The EPS Program implementation involves construction of a new mainline pump house (MPH), ESD valve and drain tank sites, buildings for variable frequency drives (VFD) and an indoor switch gear with a packaged transformer substation at the pump station site. The project also includes construction of a foam generator unit, a diesel power plant, branched cable racks, and utility networks.
A delegation of CPC shareholder representatives visited the construction site this summer. The inspection team highly praised the construction process organization, technical outfit, and strict adherence to occupational safety standards by CPC and the contractor.
By now, grading and leveling, installation of foundations and grillage for buildings, structures, and equipment at the pump site have been completed in full and an access road has been constructed. Utility networks have been relocated from the development footprint. Installation of cable rack steel structures is nearly completed. Assembly of the MPH building metal frame and welding of the hook-up process piping for the new pump units are well underway. Laying of new utility networks and construction of the crawl floor of the indoor switch gear and the packaged transformer substation are in progress. Three out of four VFD shelters comprising 21 process modules have been already delivered to the construction site. The final shipment of the equipment is expected to arrive soon.
By way of reminder, the program for switching over of CPC facilities from gas turbines to external power supply is being implemented since 2024, when the engineering phase was launched. In 2025, CPC and UDM Management Company (a part of Transneft group) signed an agreement for manufacturing, delivery and installation supervision of 11 mainline pump units. In 2026, testing of fabricated prototypes of the pump at PS-7, CPC, and the electric motor at Torgili LODS, Transneft, has commenced.2 ЧРП.jpg

In addition to the program at Komsomolsk PS, the GTU-driven MPU replacement program at Kropotkin PS is scheduled to start this year followed by the upgrading of A-PS-4A as the next phase of the retrofitting program.
