A
gala concert summing up Stage II of Jas tolqyn contest was held in Aktau on 8
June. This contest of young talents is taking place for the fourth year with
CPC-K’s support. The project is aimed at supporting gifted children and
adolescents living in Atyrau, Aktobe, Mangystau and Western Kazakhstan Oblasts
of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The contest objective is to preserve and revive
national culture and traditions.“Each year, the Jas tolqyn contest opens its
doors to young talents of the Western Region”, noted Kairgeldy Kabyldin, CPC-K Deputy
General Director, Republic of Kazakhstan Government Relations. - This is one of
our most ambitious charitable cultural projects. It is very pleasing that the
recognition of our contest is growing, as well as the number of participants and
the level of their preparation”.
About
500 applications in total from both individual performers and creative teams
were submitted to the 2023 contest. The total number of participants was 1,298
persons. For two days, contest participants competed in the categories of
"choreography", "vocal", "instrumental genre",
"folk music" and "lyrics". By
tradition, after the competitive performances, honored workers of culture of
Kazakhstan, people's artists, teachers of the Kazakh National University of
Arts conducted master classes for the participants. At the master classes,
young talents received valuable advice on acting and stage plastics.
“For
our children, "Jas tolqyn" is a whole event, for which they carefully
prepare: they think up scenic images, sew costumes and rehearse a lot,"
said Nurlan Ismailov, the chairman of the jury of the "Jas tolqyn"
contest. - Each of them has a talent, but not each has an opportunity of
developing it. We highly appreciate CPC’s support to the young contestants.
Children participated in auditions and master classes with sincere enthusiasm,
each of them received an unforgettable experience and useful skills. Everyone
tried very hard at the concert and did their utmost”.
The
dombrists' ensemble "Jas tolqyn" from Aktau became the winner in the
nomination "instrumental genre". In individual performance, the Grand
Prix went to Milana Murzagalieva from Aktobe and Taisiya Voitova from Atyrau. The Grand Prix in the category
"choreography" was awarded to the dance ensemble "Zhuldyz"
from the village of Terekti (West Kazakhstan Oblast). Meyrzhan Beibituly from Kurmangazy district
of Atyrau Oblast received the Grand Prix in the nomination "Artistic
Word". Zhanerke
Ungarbekova from Syrymskiy District of West Kazakhstan Oblast won the Grand
Prix in the Folk Music category as a solo performer. The Grand Prix in the same
nomination among creative groups went to the ensemble "Aksunkar" from
Atyrau Oblast. Amina
Asgatova (Aktau) and Ayana Bayzulla (Aktobe) became the winners in the nomination
"Vocal".
Now
the finalists of the "Jas tolqyn" contest are to prepare for the next
stage - participation in the international festival "CPC - to Talented
Children" in Moscow.
As
a reminder: the “Jastolqyn” charity project has been conducted in Kazakhstan
since 2019. The contest consists of three stages. The first qualifying stage
takes place online at jas-tolqyn.kz. It is followed by a full-time regional
stage with auditions, master classes and a gala concert. The third stage - a
unifying cultural forum - takes place in the city of Moscow. The Grand Prix
winners in each nomination participate in it.
