Nearly 10.5 thousand first-year schoolchildren in Astrakhan Oblast, Republic of Kalmykia, Stavropol Krai, Krasnodar Krai and Novorossiysk received CPC presents: schoolbags with a full set of school stationery. First-graders-to-be received their presents on the eve of September 1, while in certain districts – at the Knowledge Day ceremonies.
It should be noted that this campaign has been covering all Russian regions along the pipeline route since 2009. Traditionally active participants of the campaign are heads of regional administrations, relevant ministries and CPC regional representatives.
CPC presents are intended for schoolchildren from underprivileged and large families, orphanages, charity institutions and remedial schools, as well as handicapped children. This year, the Consortium allocated approximately RUR 27 mln for the “CPC to First-Graders” charity program.
