On November 17, 2021, Velesstroy LLC performed rock loosening operations with an excavator using a hydraulic hammer to build a supporting wall footer near the western slope of the MT SF LACT construction site.

Velesstroy LLC is a general contractor of the said project.

In the course of work, the rock massif of the slope collapsed.

As a result of the collapse, an excavator from AutoSpetzStroy LLC, contracted by the general contractor for this work, was buried under the rubble.

All work on the MT SF LACT construction site was immediately stopped. Rescue and ambulance crews, as well as the contractor's medical station personnel were called in. Construction vehicles were mobilized to remove the rock and extract the worker trapped under the rubble.

After completion of rescue operations, the ambulance team stated the fact of the victim's death.

The RF State Investigation Committee was summoned to the scene of the accident.

Pursuant to legislative requirements, the contractor initiated the preparation of notices about the accident to government authorities.

The causes that led to this tragic accident are being established.
