CPC to Astrakhan Oblast Schoolchildren

A working meeting between Nikolay Gorban, General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium, and Igor Babushkin, Astrakhan Oblast Governor, was held in Astrakhan on 18 April 2022.
The Parties discussed the matters of the partnership between the international Company and the Region under the existing Agreement on social and economic cooperation aimed at the interaction both in the industrial sector and in the development of the Oblast social infrastructure.
After the meeting with the Governor, in Astrakhan Oblast Ministry of Education and Science, Nikolay Gorban presented the principals of 12 secondary schools in the Oblast with benefactor's certificates for the purchase of equipment for the Technology classrooms for pre-vocational training of young people.
The classroom equipment worth about 59 million Rubles is designated to teach plumbing, carpentry, tailoring and culinary arts to schoolchildren. Immediately prior to the certificate-giving ceremony, Igor Babushkin and Nikolay Gorban were shown the training equipment already installed in several schools in the region via video conference, with the teaching staff also providing comments on the curricula.
The following schools received the new equipment: MKOU secondary school No. 1 named after M. Orlov, MKOU secondary school No. 2 named after I. Galkin and MKOU secondary school No. 3 located in Kharabalinsky District. In Krasnoyarsky District - MBOU Verkhnebuzansk secondary school and MBOU Akhtubinsk secondary school. In Narimanosky District - secondary school of Narimanov. In Yenotaevsky District the equipment was given to MKOU secondary school in Yenotaevka village, MKOU secondary school in Volzhsky village, MKOU secondary school in Ivanovka village, MKOU secondary school in Nikolskoye village. In Limansky District - MKOU Zenzilinsk secondary school and MKOU Yandykovsk secondary school. 
The history of cooperation between the international Consortium and Astrakhan Oblast goes back more than 20 years. CPC allocated over 145 million Rubles to charity in the Region in 2021.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPMs) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
