On 7 June 2022, Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas National Company, visited administrative office of the Eastern Region of Caspian Pipeline Consortium located in Atyrau.

During his visit, KazMunayGas Head was acquainted with the workforce, inspected the premises of the new building, occupied by CPC Eastern Region office since May 2021.  Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Deputy General Director of CPC for the Republic of Kazakhstan Government Relation, introduced Magzum Mirzagaliyev to the Company’s day-to-day operations and spoke about the implementation of CPC-K social projects in Atyrau Oblast.

KazMunayGas Board Chairman pointed out to the strategic role of Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline in the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s economy. KazMunayGas National Company is one of CPC major Shareholders with a 19% share of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

KazMunayGas National Company is one of the largest CPC Shareholders (19% of shares). KazMunaiGas produces 28% of the total oil and gas condensate in Kazakhstan and 16% of natural gas and APG, provides for 65% of oil transportation via trunk oil pipelines and 77% of tanker transportation from the port of Aktau, as well as 95% of natural gas transportation via trunk gas pipelines; processes 82% of Kazakhstan oil and holds a 17% share of the petroleum products retail market. KazMunaiGaz headcount amounts to approximately 90 thousand employees.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region.  CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
