
On
17 June 2022, at the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum
(SPIEF-2022), Nikolay Gorban, General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium,
held a work meeting with Yuri Zaitsev, Acting Governor of the Republic of Mariy
El.
Based
on the experience of successful interface between the international consortium
and administration of Kalmykia, where Yuri Zaitsev was head of the republican
Government till May 2022, the parties discussed cooperation prospects between
CPC and industrial enterprises of Mariy El.
The
Republic of Mariy El, located within the territory of Privolzhsky Federal
District, is a large center of machine-building and instrumentation
manufacture, metal working, automation manufacture.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major
investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The
length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports
over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian
oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is
equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPMs) that allow to load tankers
safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
