CPC Management visits facility sites in the Republic of Kalmykia and the Stavropol Region

20220716.jpgOn July 16, 2022, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and representatives of the Operations and Construction Projects Execution Departments visited PS-3 in the Republic of Kalmykia and PS-4 and PS-5 in the Stavropol Krai. The Consortium’s CEO examined station equipment, carrying out unscheduled readiness checks of CPC personnel and contractors at facility sites and on the pipeline.

Thus, a drill was conducted on a pig launcher/receiver at KP1031 of the Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline. An oil spill scenario was enacted and successfully responded to by Ipatovo emergency response station, including 26 specialists equipped with 11 special vehicles.

At PS-3 and PS-4, operations personnel and contractors took part in a drill to contain and extinguish a simulated fire in a mud filter area. At PS-5, an exercise was conducted to extinguish a simulated fire in a surge relief system.

PS-3 was commissioned in 2015. PS-4 and PS-5 were constructed in 2015 and 2017 respectively. These stations are going to have variable frequency drives (VFD) for mainline pump unit motors and additional surge relief system tanks installed to increase operating reliability under the Debottlenecking Program (DBN).

The CPC executives commended reliable operation of equipment and high professional qualifications of pump station personnel.

A meeting was held with station personnel to discuss Safe Work Culture development. It was stressed that the contractor HSE management system needed to continue to be improved.
