Hero City Hosts the First Classical Music Festival “Novorossiysk Chimes"

_ADM4680.JPGOn September 10, 2022 Novorossiysk saw the first open-air classical music festival "Novorossiysk Chimes". The event held on Forum square was arranged by Caspian Pipeline Consortium and the autonomous non-profit organization “Black Sea Symphony Orchestra”. Andrei Kravchenko, the head of the hero city, and Mikhail Grishankov, CPC-R Deputy General Director, RF Government Relations, spoke at the opening ceremony.
"This festival is a cultural bridge that integrates Novorossiysk into the nation-wide Russian cultural life. We are grateful to CPC for putting its faith in us, thank you for the opportunity to be at the center of city life again, to make music part of the life of every citizen of Novorossiysk, to find new listeners in the city and beyond" - said Konstantin Mileshkin, conductor of the “Black Sea Symphony” orchestra.
The festival began with the musical piece "Novorossiysk Chimes” by Dmitry Shostakovich that the outstanding Soviet composer wrote specifically for the “Heroes' Square” memorial complex in memory of Soviet soldiers fallen in liberating Novorossiysk during the Great Patriotic War. Music by Tchaikovsky, Sviridov, Saint-Saëns, Vivaldi, Bizet, Puccini, as well as works by famous contemporary composers were also performed.
More than two hundred musicians, singers and young dancers took part in the four-hour marathon concert. They presented about fifty orchestral, operatic and ballet performances. Together on stage came virtuoso soloists Sergey Pospelov (violin, Moscow), Tatiana Breslavskaya (violin, Moscow) and Andrey Vinnitsky (drums, Moscow), opera singers Tatiana Eremina (soprano, Krasnodar) and Kirill Chursin (tenor, Rostov-on-Don).
It is worth noting that the festival partner, Caspian Pipeline Consortium, traditionally supports city cultural life projects in Novorossiysk. The CPC to Gifted Children Festival held annually encourages the creativity of young talents and opens up a big stage opportunity for young performers. In 2021 CPC supplied concert and stage equipment for city festivals to the Maritime Cultural Center of Novorossiysk. CPC has also supplied present-day concert equipment and musical instruments to the Novorossiysk City Theater, L.A. Gergieva Children's School of Arts, N.I. Sipyagin Palace of Children and Youth Creativity and the Kuban House of Culture over the last several years. In 2018, the latter had its building completely renovated at the CPC’s expense._ADM4642.JPG

This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
