On 7 December 2022, CPC General Director Nikolay
Gorban and Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil
and Gas, inaugurated the entrance lobby in the main building of the university
after renovation. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium allocated over 27
million rubles for the charity project. Thanks to the renovation, the restored
entrance lobby of the main building has once again become the
"hallmark" of the university. Staircases and walls of the entire
entrance lobby and the pass issuance bureau are finished with granite from the
Yuzhno-Sultaevsky deposit in Chelyabinsk Oblast. The facility is equipped with electromechanical
locks and proximity magnetic card readers. Power supply networks were laid,
automatic fire extinguishing and video surveillance systems were
installed.
The project is of great importance to the
country's leading industry university. Over the years, the old granite and
marble surfaces became badly worn and had numerous damages, creating daily
inconveniences and restrictions on entering the building.
- The new entrance lobby will expand the
functionality and increase the efficiency of the Great Academic Auditorium,
which was also renovated with CPC's charitable funds in 2017," - Viktor
Martynov, Rector of Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas, reminded at the opening
ceremony.
CPC’s and RSU’s active interaction started in
2015 when the parties signed a cooperation agreement, under which a whole range
of projects were implemented. Thus, in early 2020, the Consortium's charitable
funds were used to repair and equip the Great Academic Auditorium and to create
the RSU Open Lecture Hall.
- Many university graduates work in our Company.
We highly appreciate the level of training our specialists receive in Gubkin
RSU, in particular, the dispatchers of the Operations Control Center. And we
are sincerely interested in ensuring that our alma mater always looks majestic
and monumental, as it was conceived by architect Boris Iofan, who designed the
university building in 1951," -
pointed out CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban in his speech.
