Meeting between CPC Management and Astrakhan Oblast Leadership

A meeting between CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Oblast Governor Igor Babushkin was held in Astrakhan on 12 January 2023.

The Parties discussed the matters of implementation of the Agreement on social and economic cooperation between the Region and the Company signed in August 2019 and aimed at the interaction in both operation business and social partnership.

The international Consortium and Astrakhan Oblast have been cooperating for over 20 years, during which CPC, along with ensuring the efficient performance of its operation facilities, has provided significant social support in such areas as culture, education, health care, children's sports and ecology. The Company also implements programs to aid the most vulnerable social groups.

In 2019, 2020 and 2021 CPC transferred over 9.5 billion rubles in taxes to the budget of Astrakhan Oblast. In 2021 - 2022, the Consortium allocated over 240 million rubles to charity in the Region.

In the course of their conversation, CPC General Director advised the Head of Astrakhan Oblast about the Consortium's systematic work to improve the reliability of equipment at operation facilities, to develop the professional skills of the personnel and success of the implementation of the Safety Culture.

The parties also touched upon the progress of the Debottlenecking Program implementation at CPC facilities in Astrakhan Oblast. In 2022, the Consortium put into operation a new mainline pump building and associated structures at Astrakhan PS. A new mainline pump unit with a gas turbine was installed and launched at APS-4A. New variable-frequency drives for the existing mainline pump electric drives were connected at APS-5A.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
