On 3 April
2024, the 21st extraordinary meeting of the Management Board of the
International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT) was held in Belgrade
(Republic of Serbia) in a face-to-face format, with the participation of CPC
General Director Nikolay Gorban. In the course of the event, CPC-R JSC was
formally admitted as a full participant in the IAOT.
As a
reminder: for eight years, CPC-R has been a member of this organization in the
status of an observer. The Consortium’s representatives participated in the
meetings of the Association Board and Standing expert group (SEG) on energy
efficiency. In January 2024, CPC-R Shareholders approved a corporate resolution
to increase the Company's level of participation in IAOT.
IAOT was
established in 2013 as an international non-profit, non-governmental
organization. The IAOT’s key tasks include comprehensive assistance in
supporting continuous deliveries of oil and petroleum products to the world
energy markets and in developing interrelationship among the Association
participants at a national, regional and international level.
There are
four standing expert groups (SEG) within the IAOT: Standing expert group on
energy efficiency; Standing expert group on legal matters; Standing expert
group on deliveries and Standing expert group "Efficient, Reliable and
Safe Operation of Trunk Pipeline Systems".
Increasing
CPC status in the IAOT from an observer to a member of the Association will
expand working communications, qualitatively improve experience and best practices
sharing, and create ample opportunities for organizing a comprehensive and
fruitful technological dialogue.
