On 2 December 2024, a final gala concert of CPC
for Talented Children, the International Contest of the children and youth
creativity, was held on the stage of the Moscow State Theater “Russkaya
Pesnya”.
Traditionally,
the final stage of the annual large-scale creative project aimed at supporting
children's creativity in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s host regions in
Russia and Kazakhstan is the Uniting Cultural Forum - "Moscow Meets
Friends". In 2024, the Forum was conducted from 29 November through to 3
December. The winners and laureates of the regional stages of contest from
Astrakhan Oblast, Republic of Kalmykia, Stavropol Krai and Krasnodar Krai, in
total over 180 persons, came to Moscow. Over 30 finalists of the Jas Tolqyn
(New Wave) contest, annually conducted in Atyrau, Western Kazakhstan, Aktuba
and Mangistau regions of the Republic of Kazkhstan, joined them in the Russian
capital.
The
young guests of the Forum participated in the excursions in Moscow, master
classes of the teachers from the capital’s universities, creative meetings with
famous artists. The final gala concert on the stage of the Moscow State Theater
“Russkaya Pesnya” included 31 performances by the winners and laureates of the
contest, united by the common storyline - “Star Bridge: the Way to Balance”.
Both
finalists and experts of the contest - professional artists and musicians -
took part in the bright theatricalized show. The performances of young talents
were accompanied by a chamber orchestra. Traditionally, the concert program
focused on both classical repertoire and the diversity of cultural traditions
that the regions crossed by CPC trunk crude pipeline are rich in.
The
contestants were welcomed by CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban, Astrakhan
Oblast Governor Igor Babushkin, Gilyana Boskhomdzhiyeva, Chairperson of the
Republic of Kalmykia Government, People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina,
Head of the Russian Song Theater. At the end of the concert, Alexei Gornizov,
Advisor to the President of Transneft, Honored Artist of Russia, presented the
winners with special prizes from CPC leading Shareholder – copies of the book
"Russian Pantheon. Benefit, Honor and Glory" with the inscription of
the President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev. The book was published as part of the
Company's historical and educational project and includes articles about people
who contributed to the development of Russia.
- For more
than a quarter of a century, the “CPC for Talented Children” contest helps
young people to declare their talents and realize them with the support of
outstanding masters of the arts,” - pointed out Consortium General Director
Nikolay Gorban. - Since the beginning of its operation, our Company has been actively
implementing large-scale charity projects in the host regions, paying
particular attention to supporting culture and education, developing and
upbringing of the younger generation. Children are the most precious thing we
have, and by lighting new “stars” every year, we make an important contribution
to the future.
The children's
and youth's creativity festival-contest "CPC for Talented Children"
has been held for over 25 years. It was launched by CPC-R as part of the
charity program to support children’s artwork. Having started as a local
festival, the CPC for Talented Children contest has become a cross-national and
international event uniting regions and countries, contributing to the
preservation of folk customs and motivating the young generation to develop and
fulfill their creative abilities. The contest is conducted annually and
consists of four stages. Over 20,000 young talents participated in the project
