CPC Increases Manpower at Anapa Emergency Response Site

IMG-20241225-WA0002.jpgCPC representatives continue to work at the emergency response site in the vicinity of Anapa where wreckage of two tankers led to fuel oil spill in the Black Sea. The group engaged in cleaning fuel oil from the shoreline have been supplemented by CPC Marine Terminal staff teams. Total manpower of clean-up teams reached 50 people as of today. There are 9 vehicles, including three dump trucks and three excavator-loaders, at their disposal. 

Jointly with Chernomortransneft JSC and NMTP PJSC ​CPC teams are currently occupied with clean-up of shoreline recontamination. Moving along the beach at the rate of 1 km per day, CPC employees haul away contaminated sand and bags with previously collected fuel oil for further disposal as per established procedures.
All personnel involved in the emergency response are provided with meals and accommodation. Work is being delivered in compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
As a reminder: Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been participating in response to oil products spill caused by the wreckage of Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 tankers in the Kerch Strait since December 17, 2024.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
